Making waves and breaking them
Israeli forces fight to stop flood tide of terror
Sunday Agenda
“Citizens of Israel, we are currently experiencing a wave of murderous terrorism and, just like in all the previous waves, we will prevail together,” said Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, as he launched “Operation Wave Breaker”, or “Break the Wave,” depending on how you translate the Hebrew. (Not to be confused with the US Drug Enforcement Administration’s own operation to stem the flood tide of fentanyl coming in from Mexico courtesy of the Sinaloa Cartel, also code-named “Wave Breaker.”)
Already, Israeli forces have struck in the West Bank with a raid that killed three Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists (not to be confused with the Islamic Jihad Organization that Hezbollah often uses as a front for its own terror operations).
With former Israeli Sayeret Matkal commando and prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu now leading the opposition in the Knesset, Prime Minister Bennett can hardly afford to look weak on terrorism. No Israeli prime minister can. Hence the “iron fist” that Bennett is wielding in the wake of three deadly terrorist attacks that all hit in a single week.
