The New World Disorder?
Who will suffer most under the sanctions against Russia?
Russia’s Economic Blackout Will Change the World
So says Derek Thompson in this article in The Atlantic. Well, well, well. You don’t have to read between the lines of Mr. Thompson’s piece to see what exactly he means by that. Or that certain special interests are going to take advantage of the war in Ukraine—and the corresponding economic and energy impact—to push their own global-scale pet pork-barrel projects. The “Green-Energy Revolution” going full throttle into “warp speed,” food shortages sparking global instability termed a “World Spring,” and a “new Chinese Empire” all lurk along a bleak horizon. Not all of this is organic. And of course, our favorite neocon cheerleaders (i.e. David Frum, the man who helped bring us the Iraq War with his famous, and long-defunct-and-debunked “Axis of Evil” slogan) are rah-rahhhing all the way to the World Bank. Send in the (evil) clowns!
